SRCC's OG-300 program certifies complete solar domestic water heating systems and provides estimated energy savings for locations across North America. Systems include: active, passive, direct, indirect, thermosiphon and PV types. Certifications confirm compliance with the ICC 900/SRCC 300 standard and include computer-based energy modeling. The certification is recognized throughout North America to show compliance with building codes and to qualify for programs like ENERGY STAR.

SRCC’s OG-500 certification program provides performance ratings and proof of compliance for thermal energy storage devices. That includes solar hot water storage tanks which are assessed to the ICC 903/SRCC 500 standard.

SRCC Listings provide compliance assessments to all major codes and standards used throughout North America for solar heating & cooling equipment. ICC-SRCC listings make it easy for solar thermal product manufacturers to demonstrate code compliance to code officials and consumers. Listings are available for model and state-level plumbing, mechanical and building codes, specific locations like the City of Los Angeles, and for related standards like NSF 50, NMX 001 and CSA F379.

ENERGY STAR certification for solar domestic water heaters. Under the ENERGY STAR Residential Water Heater Specification, products must meet performance, warranty and certification requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Certified products are listed on the EPA ENERGY STAR Directory and the ICC-SRCC Listing Directory, providing recognition and proof of certification. They can also display the very widely-known ENERGY STAR mark.
